Double Seconds
Double Seconds are comprised of two barrels and are in a lower range than
lead pans. They are more effective playing harmony while still being high
pitched enough to be a melody instrument. The lowest note is about a half
octave below middle C and the instument has a range of about 2 & 1/2 octaves
chromatic. We offer the two popular tunings pictured in the diagrams below
and can also produce a custom tuning. They are
available painted black and also chromed for an extra charge.
