Triple Cello/Guitar
Triple Cellos or Triple Guitars comprise three barrels, each with a minor
third intervallic note relationship (diminished arpeggio). This provides for
a range starting a little more than an octave below middle C and running
chromatically for just over two octaves. They have a warm, rich sound and in
addition to chording or "strumming", they are useful for underlying
arpeggios and deeper counter melodies. They can be described as the "lead"
of the lower register pans. The terms guitar and cello are many times used
interchangeably, but often the Triple Cello is thought of as having a longer
skirt with the deepest sound while the Triple Guitar is the same instrument
with a somewhat shorter skirt and a punchier sound. Pictured below are note
diagrams for the Triple Cello/Guitar and also for the Four Cello (call for
pricing). As always, custom tuning configurations are available.
